How physical therapy at Revenant works

ASSESS

A 60-minute, one-on-one, full-body movement assessment. We look at how you move, not just where it hurts. You leave knowing what's causing your pain and exactly how we'll fix it.

REBUILD

Strength, mobility and movement training that retrains how your body shares the load. The part that's been doing all the work finally gets help. You'll end up doing more, not less.

PERFORM

We build you back to running, lifting or your sport, then taper you off so you don't need me. You leave trusting your body again.

Why your pain keeps coming back

Most people I see aren't hurt because something is torn or worn out. They're hurt because one part of the body has been doing too much for too long. Your low back covers for hips that don't move well. Your knee takes load your foot and hip should share. That area becomes a tired worker, and eventually it complains.

Your MRI and diagnosis matter, but they rarely tell the whole story. More often than not, it isn't a hardware problem. It's a software problem: how your body coordinates the movement.

That's why rest, stretching, massage and another round of generic exercises haven't fixed it. They calm the symptom. They don't change what's causing it.

Why physical therapy didn't work for you before

Most insurance-based clinics aren't built around your goals. It's not the therapists. It's the system. When the aim is basic pain relief and the therapist is juggling several patients at once, everyone gets roughly the same exercises, whether they want to climb stairs without pain or run a half marathon.

Revenant is cash-based and out-of-network, so the plan is built around what you want to get back to. Every session is 60 minutes, one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. No aides, no double booking, no sheet of exercises and a wave goodbye.

Physical therapy for active people

Whether it's the ankle you rolled last week or the back pain that's been coming back for years, the approach is the same: find out what's actually going on, then fix it so it doesn't keep happening.

Runners and endurance athletes

Knee pain, IT band, shin splints, ankle sprains, Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, and hip or low back pain that flares every time your mileage climbs. Marathon, trail, Hyrox and triathlon.

Lifters and hybrid athletes

Low back, hip and shoulder pain that caps your lifts or keeps you out of the gym. The goal is getting you back under the bar, not away from it.

Golf, tennis, pickleball and court sports

Shoulder, elbow, back and hip pain from rotation, including tennis and golfer's elbow and rotator cuff issues.

Active adults who want to stay that way

Chronic back or neck pain, stiff joints, sciatica, or being told you're "bone on bone." You want to keep hiking, gardening, playing with your kids, or just moving without thinking about it.

After surgery

ACL, rotator cuff, Achilles and labral repairs. We take you from the rehab protocol back to what you had surgery to get back to.

Hands-on work and dry needling are tools I use when they help. They're never the whole plan.

Who you'll work with

R0003347

Dr. Nevin Saju, PT, DPT

I was born with a heart defect and had three open heart surgeries, the last at 19. I rebuilt my body without a plan and got hurt more than once along the way. That's why I take people seriously when they've been dismissed, and why I built Revenant.

Doctor of Physical Therapy, University of St. Augustine. BS in Psychology, UT Dallas.

Frequently asked questions

Do you take insurance?
No. Revenant is cash-based and out-of-network. That's what lets every session be a full 60 minutes, one-on-one with me. If your plan has out-of-network benefits, I can give you a superbill on request to submit for possible reimbursement.

How much does it cost?
It depends on what you need. At the end of your evaluation, once I know what's actually going on, I'll recommend a program built around your goal, usually 6 to 12 weeks, and walk you through the cost. No surprises, and no commitment until then.

Who do you work with?
Runners, lifters, hybrid athletes, golfers, tennis and basketball players, and active adults who keep hitting the same wall. Most people who come to me have already tried PT, chiro, massage or rest, and the problem keeps coming back.

What happens at the first visit?
A full movement assessment. We look at how your whole system handles load, not just where it hurts. You leave with a clear explanation of what's driving the problem and a plan to fix it.

Do I need a referral?
No. You don't need a referral to book. If we need one later, I'll handle coordinating it.

Where are you located?
11488 Luna Rd, Farmers Branch, TX 75234, inside Luna Fitness Studio. Easy to reach from Dallas, Addison, Carrollton and Irving.
