About Nevin

I am on a mission to help people better understand their physical health so they can overcome injuries and pain. I believe that everyone has the ability to overcome or adapt to any situation they come across and I am driven to help others accomplish that. I understand this firsthand as I have had multiple open heart surgeries, the last one being in 2014. With no guidance and multiple setbacks, I struggled forward to achieving good physical health. It took me years to get where I wanted to be, but that does not have to be the case for you. I started Revenant Physical Therapy to help you overcome any doubt, limit setbacks, and ultimately achieve the goals you have.

I started my journey to becoming a physical therapist after graduating from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelors in Psychology in 2016. I started physical therapy school in 2017 and graduated from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2020. Since 2020, I have completed numerous post-graduate courses furthering my knowledge into pain science, biomechanics, athletic training, dry needling, etc. The most important thing I have learned since graduating is that none of that matters unless I establish meaningful connections with those I work with and have clear communication.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a very large extended family and they mean the world to me. I love watching football (Go Cowboys!) and Saturday nights are typically reserved for some bourbon and UFC. When I am not with my family or watching sports you will usually find me with a book in my hands. I love reading non-fiction and am always trying to further my knowledge and diversify my understanding of the world. Long form conversations that go deep into any subject is my love language. Although I would not consider myself a gym rat, I love to lift weights and exercise at least 3 times a week and supplement that with some long walks which help clear my mind whenever needed.

When it comes to my philosophy of care, I believe in empowerment. It is my goal to help you feel like you are in charge of your own body and that you are capable of making the changes you need. I am just a useful tool to help get you there. I like to educate you on exactly what is going on and make it digestible for you as well. I take a global approach to treatment, meaning that I don’t just focus on the site of the pain or the injury, but make sure to integrate the rest of the body so that you can progress with thoughtless and fearless movement. I am committed to providing the highest quality of care and going the extra mile to see you succeed. I have experience working with division 1 athletes, broadway performers, school teachers, busy parents, weekend warriors, and a variety of other individuals. I love working with people who are driven to improve, and those who feel as though they have tried everything under the sun but have had no relief.

If you are looking for a physical therapist that is fully committed to your well-being and brings empathy, understanding, and energy to each session – I am your guy.
