One of my favorite movies of all time is Interstellar. I love this movie because it is so conceptual. I’ve seen it many times. Each time I watch it I come away with something new. One of the underlying themes of the movie is the precious nature of the time we have and how we spend it.

*Spoiler Alert*. The main character (Cooper) goes into deep space, on a Journey to save humanity while leaving behind his young children. The totality of the trip cost him 23 years of time relative to his life. When considering space time and the time warps he went through, the totality of his trip relative to everyone else on planet earth was 89 years…

This got me thinking of the current healthcare model that exists today.

In a traditional physical therapy model, physical therapists are measured by the quantity of patients they see and the amount of units they bill based on time spent with each patient. What do you think will be promoted in this model? VOLUME.

The more people they see, the more they bill. The higher the visit count, the more they bill. The higher the weekly visit frequency, the more they bill. The trend is quantity, volume, and time based.

We do things a bit different here at Revenant Physical Therapy. If you are someone who values your precious time, then we have the right model for you. We don’t need to see you 2 or 3 times a week. Our goal is to provide you with a very specific timeline of what to expect. We typically see most people once a week to begin. We gradually taper off to once every 2 weeks, to eventually seeing them once a month prior to discharge.

We promote OUTCOMES. This is one of our core values and metrics that mean the most to us. Do the people who come to see us actually get what they are looking for? We spend our time educating you on what is going on, why it is happening, and how long it will take to get better. We pair that with a kickass  movement plan that is customized to your individual needs. This plan includes all your exercises from daily movement snacks to weekly programs that comprehensively improve your strength and coordination.

Be prepared to be challenged. Just as Cooper was mentally and physically challenged on his quest to save humanity, we will challenge you on your quest to conquer your health.

We are able to do this because of our unique model that emphasizes the body as a whole. We address the entire movement system while taking your symptoms into account. After all, the pain you feel is often a symptom of a more complex set of problems that lurk beneath the shadows.

We have had multiple success stories through our approach. Check out our google reviews here to read through what a few of our clients have to say about us!
